Bezos: AI technology is real, but investors need to be cautious.
According to a report by Bijie, Bezos said it is currently difficult to judge whether artificial intelligence is in a bubble, but he believes the technology itself is real, even though investors are funding projects of varying strength. He pointed out that technology booms often lead capital to flow into almost every experiment, making it difficult to distinguish sustainable businesses from speculative ones in real time. He warned that some investors may lose money because of excessively high expectations, but this does not negate the value of the underlying technology. Bezos mentioned that major tech companies have invested hundreds of billions of dollars in AI infrastructure, while the returns remain uncertain. At the same time, AI-related companies account for a large proportion of the S&P 500, increasing the market's exposure to this theme. As for whether retirees should buy individual AI stocks, Bezos suggested buying the S&P 500 index, because the index already provides exposure to major AI companies without requiring investors to pick individual winners.
