Kevin O'Leary: Stablecoins are the safest crypto asset.
Kevin O'Leary, a well-known American investor and Shark Tank star, said that stablecoins are the safest assets in the crypto space. He explained that stablecoins carry less risk than Bitcoin (BTC) and other cryptocurrencies because the U.S. Treasury provides clearer regulation and safeguards. He divided crypto assets into three categories and noted that stablecoins are currently the least volatile crypto assets. O'Leary also mentioned that the safety of stablecoins depends on the quality of reserves, the issuer, and redemption terms. Although stablecoin prices are relatively stable, they are not entirely without risk. He placed Bitcoin in a separate category, arguing that its volatility is far higher than that of other crypto assets, and emphasized that Bitcoin remains a speculative asset whose institutional adoption is constrained by regulatory concerns.
Scammers impersonate Tyler Hobbs to conduct fake QQL NFT minting
A report from CoinWorld: Scammers impersonating generative artist Tyler Hobbs are promoting a fake QQL NFT minting scheme, and at least one person has reportedly lost funds after participating in it. Although the reported theft has not been independently verified, no wallet addresses or transaction hashes were provided. The impersonator also promoted a Dutch auction involving 900 QQL mint passes, with a starting price of 50 ETH, claiming to be working with the original creator; however, official materials did not confirm this auction. According to bbx, citing data from Bijie.com: Last week, global capital markets staged an extremely rare "reverse confrontation" in how crypto-concept stocks operated. While Bitcoin bulls poured hundreds of millions of dollars of fiat currency into a buying spree for spot BTC, listed companies chose to liquidate their holdings at high prices. Strive (NASDAQ: $ASST) snapped up 4,045 BTC in a single week, bringing its base position close to 37,000 coins; Strategy (NASDAQ: $MSTR) slightly increased its holdings by 267 BTC and expanded its total authorization to repurchase preferred shares to $3 billion; SkyAI (NASDAQ: $SKYA) sold off all of its SOL and launched a discounted tender offer of up to $201.3 million. The market is showing a trend in which leading crypto treasuries, relying on massive capital pools, are carrying out deep optimization of capital and liability structures and a monopoly on spot holdings.
