Claude Code Review is officially released: reviews are nearly 3x faster.
According to news from Bijie, Anthropic has announced that Code Review, the automated code review tool for Claude Code, is moving from research preview to general availability, opening it up to team and enterprise users. The feature, first launched in March this year, can dispatch multiple agents to inspect code in parallel after a developer submits a GitHub PR (pull request), looking for logic errors, security vulnerabilities, and edge-case issues, and filtering out false positives through cross-validation. Anthropic says most reviews now take only 6 to 10 minutes, nearly 3 times faster than the roughly 20 minutes of the preview version. Administrators can also set three review depths for different repositories: quick, standard, and in-depth. Boris Cherny, founder of Claude Code, said he uses Code Review for all his PRs and that it catches almost all bugs before merging. The feature requires additional payment and is not included in the Claude subscription quota, costing an average of $15 to $25 per review, billed based on actual token usage.
Perplexity open-sources two decision models: as low as 1 cent per million input tokens, inference up to 5x faster
Perplexity has open-sourced two multimodal decision models, pplx-decider-v1.2 (27b) and pplx-decider-flash-v1.2 (4b), based on qwen3.8-27b and qwen3.5-4b. They are not responsible for generating long-form answers, but instead classify, score, and judge based on text or images, and can be used for scenarios such as agent task routing and content moderation. Compared with the previous generation's per-question reasoning, the new version allows multiple questions to share the same input and complete judgments in a single inference pass. Perplexity says that in some scenarios inference speed is improved by up to 5x. Both models use the Apache 2.0 license and are integrated into the Perplexity API and Vercel AI Gateway. The API charges $0.02 and $0.01 per million input tokens respectively, and output is free.
