Nvidia-backed data center company's IPO falters, $5.5 billion listing plan at risk
According to CoinWorld news, IPO demand for a data center company backed by Nvidia has suddenly dropped sharply, exposing new signs of fragility in the artificial intelligence financing boom. Australian data center company FirmusGrid had originally planned to raise $5.5 billion through a listing, but because investors were insufficiently willing to subscribe at the issue price of A$11 per share, the outlook for the deal has fallen into uncertainty. Although Firmus closed its order book on Thursday, as of now the company has still not clearly announced the final issue price or transaction structure. This unusual disclosure gap has sparked market speculation that the company may be forced to lower the issue price or even cancel the IPO entirely.

UBS: Today's US Treasury selloff is different from 1999.
UBS says today's US Treasury selloff is not a repeat of 1999. The 10-year Treasury yield recently reached 5.34%, prompting comparisons to 1999, when yields approached 5.8% during the dot-com bubble. UBS believes that although there are similarities between the current AI infrastructure boom and the telecom spending of that era, there are still major differences. Unlike the budget surpluses of 1999, the current US fiscal deficit exceeds 6% of GDP, which means the market needs to absorb more long-term debt and could keep yields elevated even if the Federal Reserve pauses rate hikes.
