Citadel Securities' India business growth slows.
Coin World news: Citadel Securities reports a significant slowdown in revenue growth in its Indian business due to tighter regulation and a cooling market. According to documents provided by data service provider Tofler, the market maker's operating revenue grew about 4% to 41.7 billion rupees ($438 million) in the fiscal year ended March this year. Affected by rising costs, its after-tax profit fell 5% to 19.6 billion rupees. This performance stands in sharp contrast to the previous fiscal year, when its profit surged 41% and revenue jumped 39%. These figures further indicate that the post-pandemic boom in India's capital markets is beginning to cool. Regulators are moving to curb speculative trading in the options and futures markets to protect retail investors, which has hit the growth of institutions such as Citadel Securities and Hudson River Trading. Meanwhile, foreign institutional investors are shifting to other more attractive markets due to the hot U.S. artificial intelligence trade and the depreciation of the rupee.

It should be noted that some stock and ETF targets trade according to market opening hours and do not support purchases during market closure. If the recurring investment time happens to fall within a non-trading period, the bot will automatically skip that purchase, and normal execution will resume at the next scheduled recurring investment time after the market reopens.
Ethereum developers fix Glamsterdam upgrade vulnerability to prevent malicious transfer of staked funds
Coin World news, according to Coindesk, Ethereum developers have fixed a vulnerability in the upcoming Glamsterdam upgrade that could have allowed staked funds to be maliciously diverted. The vulnerability allowed a malicious operator to use the same public key to redirect ETH deposits that the staking protocol originally used to create validators into a block builder account under their control, and potentially withdraw the funds further. Researcher Avsetsin first reported the issue on October 12. Developers initially declined to fix it on October 19, citing insufficient support from client teams, but after further review, they officially merged the fix code on October 26. This fix handles validator and block builder deposits separately. No actual loss of funds has been reported so far, and the Glamsterdam upgrade has not yet launched on the mainnet.

Over the past year, assets from private banking clients have climbed 50%. A significant portion of the flows through this wealth channel have gone into alternative investments, especially hedge funds, as well as infrastructure and transportation-related products.
