IEA Executive Director Birol: We will consider releasing more strategic crude oil reserves if necessary.

BiJie Network News: International Energy Agency (IEA) Executive Director Birol said on Tuesday that the timetable for the organization's member states to release 20 million barrels of diesel from emergency reserves depends on the specific circumstances of each country and the situation in the oil market. Last week, the IEA decided to accelerate the release of oil that had not yet been delivered under the record-scale emergency reserve release plan pledged in March, including more than 20 million barrels of diesel, in order to increase supply as quickly as possible and ease soaring prices. Birol said that how much would be released specifically and when would depend on each country's own circumstances as well as winter market conditions. He also said that, if necessary, the agency would consider further releasing oil from member states' emergency oil reserves. Birol pointed out that if it is truly necessary, if multiple crises in the Middle East overlap, and if member states believe it is time to press the release button, then as the International Energy Agency, they are ready.

SlowMist releases analysis report on Qubic wallet vulnerability that may lead to private key leakage.

Blockchain security firm SlowMist has released an analysis report on the Qubic wallet vulnerability, stating that the Qubic wallet uses math.random(), which is not cryptographically secure, to generate account seeds, and writes part of the output of the same random number sequence into the dejavu field of network packets, potentially allowing attackers to recover users' private keys through network observation. In a local proof of concept (PoC), SlowMist found that obtaining six consecutive dejavu values can, under specific conditions, restore the 128-bit internal state of the pseudorandom number generator, thereby reconstructing the 55-character account seed, deriving the private key, and verifying the match. The practical exploitability of this attack path still depends on conditions such as network access permissions, continuity of observation, and the order of random number calls, and it cannot yet be confirmed whether the previous attacker used the same method. Previously, on October 18, Qubic disclosed that due to insufficient randomness in some wallet seeds, 1,404 wallets were stolen, amounting to approximately 2.94 trillion QU.
